Dedicated to peace and order within the magical community, the Magus is made up of only the best, most qualified mages, fit to represent the entire population. Being nominated to take a seat on the Magus is a great honour, and something that many mages spend their whole lives hoping to achieve.

SERVANTS OF CORRUPTION.
Where there is peace, chaos will always rise to disturb it. The Corans are the Sanctuary's (and most of the Magus') greatest enemy, seeking to eradicate the balance of the magical world and, using corrupt dark magic, warp the Veil and the magical world to their will.
ANCIENT DEITIES.
For millenia, deities have watched over all manner of domains, from the moon and sun to honey-gathering. Though faith in them has faded over the years, most still watch over the world with great interest from their comfortable home on Pantheon, the plane of the gods. These days, they are rarely seen by mortals, but their most loyal acolytes, and the rare chosen hero, are occasionally lucky enough to be able to watch them right back.

ALENTIA'S SANCTUARY
HOME OF MAGIC.
Founded by Alentia Evergreen in a series of events that led to her ascent to godhood, Alentia's Sanctuary is the world's biggest (and formerly only) school for magic. It also acts as the world's hub for magical research, and a headquarters for the Archmagus.

GREYSHADOW WOODS
WHERE NATURE REIGNS.
It is unclear what the true origins of the Greyshadow Woods are, but it is almost universally agreed that the forest that surrounds Alentia's Sanctuary is the only way to access the Sanctuary. It is also universally agreed that there is something otherworldly about them.
SHADESTEAD
A MAGE'S HAVEN.
After the Great Magical War, mages were forced to go into hiding, and magic faded from the minds of all mortals. Living in secrecy is difficult, and as such mage-majority settlements have developed over the centuries. Shadestead, founded in 1869, is the world's largest magical settlement, and with its close proximity to Alentia's Sanctuary, it is also the one that houses many of the world's most talented mages.
