Occasionally (and sometimes derogatorily) known as moon nymphs, silvin appear most similar to elves, or their “sister species”, solia, with pointed ears and graceful demeanours. Chiefly, however, silvin are recognizable by their silver, grey, or white hair, with some even being known to have dragon-like prehensile tails. Silvin, in the past, were nocturnal and, while many no longer sleep during the day, still draw their abilities from the moon, and Siv, its patron goddess. During nighttime, Silvins’ speed, strength, and senses are enhanced, doubly so during full moons. They are also gifted with the ability to see in the dark as clearly as if light were present, though this has been known to give many silvin feline eyes that reflect light shone at them, as well as a tendency to “sparkle”, particularly in moonlight or darkness, a trait which has been theorised to originate from the moonlight they absorb, as silvin kept away from the moon for long periods of time have temporarily lost this trait. Silvin have a reputation for being graceful, sleek, and religiously devoted, with the species being overrepresented as acolytes, particularly to Siv, Tesh, and Antia.
